Licensed Mental Health Therapist — In-Person, St. Thomas USVI Full Time

Job Summary

Build meaningful therapeutic relationships while practicing in an innovative, integrative mental health setting in St. Thomas.

Holistic Wellness & Psychiatry is seeking a licensed mental health therapist to join our in-person clinical team in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Our multidisciplinary practice brings together psychiatry, psychotherapy, integrative mental health care, and ketamine-assisted treatment. This position is especially well suited to a therapist interested in trauma-focused work, whole-person mental health care, and developing competency in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).

This is not a remote position. Regular in-person clinical care in our St. Thomas office is required. Candidates already living in the USVI as well as candidates with a concrete relocation plan are welcome to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Provide in-person individual psychotherapy at our St. Thomas practice
• Develop meaningful, sustainable therapeutic relationships rather than working in a high-volume therapy model
• Provide trauma-informed, individualized mental health care
• Collaborate directly with psychiatric, medical, therapy, and administrative team members
• Participate in coordinated treatment planning for patients with complex mental health needs
• Have the opportunity to train in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and provide KAP as competency is established
• Provide preparation and integration therapy for appropriate ketamine patients
• Potentially develop groups, intensives, couples work, trauma programming, or other specialty services based on your interests
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and appropriate professional standards

Who We’re Looking For

We are interested in clinicians who are licensed or eligible for appropriate clinical licensure in the U.S. Virgin Islands, including qualified:

• Clinical social workers
• Mental health counselors/professional counselors
• Marriage and family therapists
• Clinical psychologists (PhD/PsyD)
• Other independently licensed behavioral-health clinicians whose credentials permit psychotherapy practice in the USVI

Candidates who are not yet licensed in the USVI may be considered if they are eligible and prepared to begin the USVI licensure process promptly.

We’re especially interested in therapists who:

• Are trauma-informed and relationship-oriented
• Have strong clinical judgment and professional boundaries
• Value individualized, whole-person mental health care
• Enjoy working collaboratively while maintaining clinical autonomy
• Are comfortable working with complex psychiatric presentations
• Are curious, self-directed, and interested in continued professional growth
• Want to become part of the St. Thomas community rather than provide exclusively remote care

Experience or training in ART, EMDR, IFS, DBT, ACT, somatic therapies, attachment-focused therapy, couples therapy, or other trauma-focused and experiential modalities is especially valued.

Prior KAP or psychedelic-assisted therapy experience is not required.

KAP & Professional Development

For therapists interested in this emerging area of mental health care, we offer a pathway to develop competency in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, including opportunities to participate in preparation, medicine-day support as appropriate, and integration work.

We also support continued professional development through training opportunities and a professional-development stipend for approved continuing education and specialty training.

You do not need to arrive trained in every modality. We are interested in clinicians with a strong foundation who remain curious and want to continue growing.

Important: This position requires regular physical presence in St. Thomas. It is not a fully remote/telehealth position.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
