Description:Resident Caregivers provide service to individuals in their own homes, communities and facilities who need assistance caring for themselves due to old age, sickness, disability and/or other inflictions. Resident Care may include assistance with the activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship and respite,

Resident Caregivers are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards.

Reporting Relationship

Resident Care Givers report to Facility Administrative Manager.

Responsibilities/Activities

• Assist with the activities of daily living and personal care including:

Bathing ~ Feeding ~ Toileting ~ Transferring ~ Positioning ~ Medication Reminding ~ Vital Signs and Blood Pressure ~ DressingHair Care ~ Skin Care ~ Oral Care ~ Nail Care ~ Shaving ~ Exercise

• Maintains residents’ records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Observes and reports the health and emotional condition of each resident; and promptly reports all changes to the supervisor.
• Provide companionship including social interactions, conversations, emotional reassurance and encouragement of activities that stimulate the mind.
• Routine housekeeping activities such as making/changing beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and laundry.
• Serves meals to residents in the dining room or apartments and may assist in preparing meals following preplanned menus.
• Follow the written care plan.
• Observe clients and their environments and report unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
• Observe clients and their environments and report behavior, physical and/or cognitive changes and/or changes in living arrangements to the Supervisor.
• Complete and maintain records of daily activities, observations, and direct hours of service.
• Attend orientation, in-service training sessions and staff meetings.
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with Supervisor and co-workers
• Make decisions and solve problems.
• Performs other duties as required.

Working Hours

Regular operating hours are Sunday through Saturday

7:00am – 7:00pm [Shift I]

7:00pm – 7:00am [Shift II]

Compensation and Benefits

Salary commensurate with experience

Requirements:Qualifications/Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent certification
• Minimum 1+ year(s) professional experience
• MedTech Certification
• CPR (within 6 months of hire)
• Current driver’s license.
• Proper Vehicle Insurance Coverage.

Conditions of Conduct

• No gambling, drinking, or drugs, while in the facility or on the grounds will be tolerated, whether the employee is on duty or not.
• Violence, fighting, or abusive behavior or language toward any resident, other staff person, or visitor will not be tolerated.
• All employees are expected to come to work on time and call to inform of possible late arrival. A no show is not tolerated and the instance will be reviewed for subsequent disciplinary action.
• No employee shall report to work under the influence of alcoholic beverages, dangerous narcotics, or hallucinogenic drugs.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear and see.
• Mental fortitude and stability to handle stress.
• Physical and mental ability to drive a vehicle.

Training/Experience

• May require related experience.
• On the job training for new activities.
