Patient Access Representative Full Time

Process patient registrations in a timely and accurate fashion.

Promotes a positive health center image of patients and physicians.

Receives and interviews incoming patients or relatives to obtain pertinent data.

Processes pre-registration documents and reviews notes in Patient Accounting Software for all applicable demographics.

Confirms insurance benefits, calculates and collects patients’ deposits.

Keys face sheet information into Patient Accounting Software and obtain patients or responsible person’s signature, scans insurance cards, etc. and other documents as necessary.

Notifies nursing services if applicable, and directs patient to appropriate department.

Makes necessary changes in computer (insurance status, etc.), if applicable.

Accountable for ensuring all patient files exist and chart numbers are accurate for scheduled patient.

Provide translation for non-English speaking clients as needed, preferrably Spanish and /or Creole

Directs patients to Financial Aid department for financial counseling regarding outstanding debts.

Other duties as assigned by Patient Registration Lead or Finance/Patient Access Manager.

Pay: $35,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
