Assistant to General Manager

Duties:
– Assistant General Manager oversees daily operations of the establishment under supervision of GM.
– Interview, hire, and train new staff members
– Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed
– Monitor and maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
– Coordinate and oversee restaurant and banquet operations
– Assist with food preparation and ensure high-quality food production
– Supervise staff members and provide guidance and support
– Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner

Skills:
– Strong interviewing skills to effectively assess potential candidates for employment
– Proficient in cash handling procedures and able to accurately manage financial transactions
– Knowledge of restaurant operations, including both front-of-house and back-of-house functions
– Ability to assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to quality standards
– Proven supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
– Knowledge of food production processes, including proper storage, handling, and preparation techniques
– Familiarity with hospitality management principles and practices
– Strong customer service skills to provide exceptional hospitality experiences
– Understanding of catering operations, including menu planning and execution

-On feet most of day. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs for boxes, trays, etc, — Wiling to fill in any position when needed
