Line Cook – Lucky Street Bar And Grill

Lucky Street is seeking a dependable and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, follows recipes and portion standards, and takes pride in serving consistently high-quality food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Lucky Street recipes and presentation standards
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked workstation
• Follow proper portioning, cooking times and plating procedures
• Complete assigned prep work before and during service
• Monitor food quality, freshness and holding temperatures
• Label, date, rotate and properly store food using FIFO procedures
• Follow food-safety, sanitation and personal-hygiene requirements
• Minimize waste and report shortages or quality concerns to management
• Communicate effectively with cooks, servers, bartenders and managers
• Assist with receiving, cleaning and closing duties as assigned
• Follow all Lucky Street policies and management instructions

Qualifications

• Previous line-cook or restaurant-kitchen experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of grilling, frying, sautéing and food preparation
• Ability to read and consistently follow recipes
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy service periods
• Dependable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid food-handler certification, or ability to obtain one as required
