Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and sanitation tasks using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents to uphold hygiene standards.
• Handle various cleaning supplies safely, including chemicals, vacuum cleaners, mops, and other janitorial tools, following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, linens, and equipment to support efficient housekeeping operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and service spaces through vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and detailed cleaning.
• Support hotel housekeeping management by ensuring all sanitation procedures are followed according to hotel policies and industry standards.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary to ensure guest and staff safety at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or assistance with cleanliness concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, polishing, and maintenance of various flooring types.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks; understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) is preferred.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required during daily operations.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and industrial cleaning procedures is a plus.
