Duties

• Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to each client’s needs, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management.
• Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and dressing, promoting independence.
• Support clients in developing communication skills through evidence-based techniques aligned with ABA principles.
• Collaborate with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to ensure treatment fidelity and effective care planning.
• Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding all medical records and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills in behavioral therapy and care delivery.

Qualifications

• Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children, or special education is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
• Compassionate attitude with excellent patience and communication skills when working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to assist clients with ADLs while maintaining a respectful and encouraging environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and medical records management is a plus.
• Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and protecting client privacy at all times.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; ongoing certification or training in behavior analysis or related fields is advantageous.
