POSITION TITLE: Vault Cashier

TITLE OF SUPERVISOR: Vault Manager

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Vault Cashier is responsible for the safe efficient operation of the Main Bank, including daily operation, administration, maintenance and protection of the casino’s funds. The Vault Cashier is also responsible for all cash in the Main Bank. Maintains a high level of guest service in all duties performed.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: Must be 21 years of age

GAMING: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Casino Employee License and work permit

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate a wide range of financial transactions and handle any paperwork that may be required in an efficient and timely manner.
• Count, verify and fill cashier banks. Enter transactions into CCT
• Maintain protection of extremely large amounts of currency, ensure prevention loss by providing extreme care and attention to detail
• Ensure close control of all activity in the count room by maintaining an awareness of changes and/or problems, which may affect the security of the currency in the count room
• Maintain visual and electronic surveillance of personnel, ensuring prevention of monetary loss
• Completion of drop recap, paperwork and security of information internally
• Review drop and count room activities with the Cash Operations Manager
• Build and load banks in CCT, open/close/secure vault
• Perform routine ATM maintenance
• Count out incoming cash or other items of monetary value and verify tally sheet for accuracy of count, denominational quantities and appropriate signature/date.
• Transfer monies to the issue bank tray, verifying total monetary amount, denominational quantities and segregation of denominations by denominational value. Complete tally sheet, including signature and date.
• Record all transactions completed in accounting system; report deviations or errors
• When vault is restocked with revenue, verify amount on the Cash Receipt and Deposit Form
• Perform verification assignments including counting or verifying count, sealing and labeling and completion of required documents for Deposits.
• As necessary, assist Cage Cashiers in receiving/distributing tip income, cash, or items of cash value.
• Independently counts and balance funds in Main Bank
• Adhere to department and property policies and procedures
• Ensure cage compliance with federal currency reporting regulations
• Complete all related documentation in accordance with the established system of internal controls
• Maintains orderly paperwork
• Complete tasks in a timely manner according to department standards
• Additional duties as assigned
• Must adhere to the company’s established COVID-19 protocols

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Four (4) years heavy cash handling experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
• Must not have been convicted of a felony
• Must submit to and pass an Alcohol/Drug Screen
• Ability to work with interruptions
• Excellent math skills required, e.g., add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, compute ratios, rates and percentages
• Must possess strong communication skills and guest service skills
• Data entry/computer skills required
• Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of questionable association
• Must be prepared to work over-time, nights, weekends and holidays
• Must possess the ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant

periods of time Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Bend, and stand for long periods of time
• Tolerate noisy and/or dimly lit environment
• Ability to lift 25lbs

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraints. Must be able to tolerate constant exposure to the general public and excessive noise. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with arms, and talk or hear. Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to guest and staff.
