Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Receiving Associate to join our team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for receiving, checking, and processing incoming merchandise and deliveries. You’ll ensure accuracy, organize stock efficiently, and support the smooth flow of inventory from the back to the sales floor. This is a hands-on position perfect for someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload incoming shipments of lumber, hardware, tools, building materials, and garden products
• Check incoming merchandise against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and condition
• Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and report issues to management
• Label, organize, and stock received items in the warehouse, store shelves or designated storage areas
• Assist with moving and staging materials for the sales floor or customer orders
• Help with carry-outs and loading customer vehicles when needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving and warehouse area
• Work closely with the sales team, cashiers, and management to ensure timely restocking

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, stockroom, or retail inventory roles preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify shipments and paperwork
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in a fast-paced environment
• Honest, reliable, and able to handle heavy materials in various weather conditions
• Punctual, dependable, and willing to work with open availability (including weekends and some holidays)
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus, but not required
• Positive team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
