The Coordinator of Residence Life and Community Engagement will lead the development and management of dynamic Living Learning Communities (LLCs), partnering with academic units to integrate learning opportunities into the residential experience. The position will enhance student engagement, support retention efforts, and holistic residential development through meaningful programs that foster and academic success. Key Responsibilities 1. Develop and Manage LLCs: Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to design LLCs that reflect diverse student academic interests, career aspirations, and social needs. 2. Residential Occupancy and Recruitment: Develop and implement data-informed strategies to attract prospective residents and retain current ones. This role will also identify trends in housing preferences to improve offerings and marketing strategies. 3. RA Training and Development: Design and deliver impactful training programs for Resident Assistants focusing on leadership, community building, conflict resolution, event support/coordination, and diversity and inclusion. This role will also create and share professional development opportunities to prepare RAs for future roles. 4. Event Programming and Coordination: Develop, promote, and innovative LLC programming that supports academic success, cultural exploration, personal development, and social engagement. This position will evaluate event impact through student feedback and participation metrics. 5. Data Collection & Analysis: Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of LLCs on student retention and engagement. Thus, generating actionable insights to improve student retention, engagement, and student satisfaction. 6. Outreach and Recruitment: Collaborate with Admissions and Public Relations to position LLCs and Residence Life & Student Housing as pivotal components of the student experience. Additionally, this role will develop communication strategies showcasing LLC benefits in promotional materials, campus tours, and recruitment events. 7. Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Residence Life and Student Housing and the Dean of Students.

Required Qualifications o Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration, Communication, or a related field. o Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in residence life, housing, student engagement, or related functional areas. o Demonstrated ability to lead student staff, manage programs, and respond to student needs in a residential setting. o Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. o Experience fostering inclusive communities and supporting diverse student populations. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs Administration, Counseling, or a related field. o Experience with Living Learning Communities, assessment, and data-informed program development. o Familiarity with student conduct, crisis response, and on-call protocols Physical Demands Must be able to work in highly active environments; must be able to lift a minimum of 50-70 lbs; move small tables and chairs; must be able to respond to emergent situations calmly; must be able to manage stress effectively
