Job Description:
We’re looking for a motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience working on generators, diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment. You’ll assist senior technicians with maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs while learning industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators, diesel trucks, marine engines, and heavy equipment
- Learn to diagnose issues under supervision of experienced techs
- Change oil, filters, batteries, and perform fluid checks
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and tools
- Follow safety procedures and shop protocols
- Document completed tasks and observations accurately
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Diesel technology certification or enrollment in a diesel tech program preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active role
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
